NEW SINGLE: TARGET ON MY BACK
~ Now available on all streaming platforms ~
Target on My Back is Lorenza Wildcard at full throttle — an explosive, high-energy rush of attitude, urgency and raw emotion.
Driven by pounding, groove-tight drums, gritty distorted guitars and a relentless high-voltage bassline, the track hits hard from the first second and never lets go. Wildcard’s vocal performance is fierce and unfiltered — no embellishment, just fire, grit and soaring power — delivering a hook-driven anthem built to stick, with clever, razor-sharp lyrics delivered with fearless intensity.
Blending punchy punk energy with indie-rock immediacy and post-punk edge, the track captures the Volthemic sound fans have begun to associate with Lorenza Wildcard: electrified indie rock, explosive dynamics and raw emotion fused with garage-pop hooks.
With its unexpected twists — two explosive post-choruses and a structure that keeps the momentum surging — Target on My Back is a frenetic, attitude-charged release made for loud playlists and repeat spins.

About
Lorenza Wildcard is a multiple award-winning and internationally acclaimed solo artist, singer-songwriter, and performer who has quickly carved out a place on the international indie-rock scene.
Wildcard discovered her talent during lockdown. Following the sudden and intense rupture of a relationship, she turned to songwriting as a way to process her emotions. Within 24 hours of writing her first song — recording her vocals accompanied by guitar on her mobile phone and sharing it with just four friends — she was approached by music producer Ettore della Campa. Weeks later, she was flown to a recording studio, where she recorded her debut single You & I — a track that resonated far beyond her own walls, gained unexpected international traction, and launched her career, marking the arrival of a bold new voice on the indie scene.
With no formal training but a natural gift for infectious melodies and raw, emotional storytelling, Wildcard built momentum through a string of powerful singles and live performances. In 2023, she began working at Headline Music Studios (UK) with producer Piers Mortimer, who has collaborated with a wide range of musicians, including established legends like Deep Purple and the Jamiroquai band, refining the sound that has since become her signature.
That sound — now known as Volthemic — is as fearless and uncompromising as Wildcard herself: electrified indie-rock anthems, post-punk grit, and garage-pop hooks charged with vulnerability and defiance. More than a style, Volthemic captures the movement Wildcard is building around her music and message.
Today, Lorenza Wildcard – Ex-MTV – is known for her commanding stage presence, powerhouse vocals, and unapologetic storytelling. Her growing fanbase, the Wildcards, connect not only with her songs but with the spirit behind them: resilience, independence, and the courage to turn scars into strength. At her live shows, fans often raise their hands in a “W” shape — a symbolic gesture that has become a signature show of support and unity within the Wildcard community and the growing Volthemic movement.
musical style
Lorenza Wildcard is a multiple award-winning and internationally acclaimed solo artist, singer-songwriter, and performer. She is best known as the pioneer of her signature Volthemic sound — a surge of electrified indie-rock anthems, raw emotion, and post-punk grit.
Her style has drawn comparisons to Blondie, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, The Runaways, Miley Cyrus, Gwen Stefani, The White Stripes, The Record Company, The Bones of J.R. Jones, and The Rolling Stones.
With multi-genre single releases, and known for her fearless attitude on and off stage as well as her bold fashion choices, Wildcard has proven herself a hard-working artist, unafraid to push boundaries and carve out a sound that is unmistakably her own.
Uninterested in labels or conformity, she lets artistry lead the way — spanning garage pop, indie rock, post punk, and even dance while always maintaining her distinctive voice and unique vocal style. With a gritty yet versatile timbre, her signature vocals prioritize raw emotional storytelling, using passionate climaxes and expressive cadences over ornamentation or restraint.
Her sound, described by fans as Volthemic, has since become the signature style associated with Lorenza Wildcard — a genre-defying surge of electrified indie rock, explosive anthems, and raw emotion fused with post-punk grit and garage-pop hooks. The term captures her blend of distorted guitars and acoustic textures, anthemic choruses, and empowering lyrics that turn scars into strength. Volthemic reflects the spirit of outsiders who refuse to stay down, echoing the movement Wildcard continues to build through her music and live performances.
Her music stretches from soul-stirring ballads of deep introspection to fast-paced anthems laced with wit, grit, and sultry confidence. Distorted guitar riffs collide with pop hooks while raw electricity fuses with melodic experimentation. The result is music that is raw, electric, and unapologetically anthemic — with explosive choruses, dynamic energy, and nostalgic echoes of the ’90s alternative scene recharged with a modern edge.
In a relatively short span of time, she has become one of the most exciting voices on the scene. Fearless and unapologetic, her style inspires, breaks boundaries, and sets stages ablaze with electrifying performances that leave audiences in awe. Wildcard is more than a musician — she’s a movement.
With more singles due in 2025 and early 2026 and a string of live shows, Lorenza Wildcard — a solo artist performing with her live backing band — continues to deliver unforgettable performances and dynamic, genre-defying music.
Fearless and unapologetic, Wildcard is more than a musician — she’s a movement. A dynamic artist to watch. A name that won’t be forgotten.
